Catherine Howard was the fifth wife of King Henry VIII. She was also cousin to his second wife, Anne Boleyn, and she would suffer the same fate as her cousin as the was beheaded in February 1542. She was impoverished, but thanks to a notable name  she was managed to secure a position as lady-in-waiting to Henry’s fourth wife, Anne of Cleves. She was flirtatious and emotional and after only being married seventeenth months, she was arrested for adultery.
